Requirements and Qualifications
The following are suggested requirements based on the nature of the position:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Health, Public Health, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or another relevant field.
- Relevant experience implementing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities in humanitarian or development settings.
- Knowledge of water supply systems, sanitation facilities, hygiene promotion, and community mobilization.
- Experience conducting WASH assessments, monitoring project activities, and preparing technical reports.
- Understanding of hygiene promotion strategies and community engagement.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work with community leaders, government agencies, and humanitarian partners.
- Willingness to work in field locations and challenging humanitarian environments.
Experience supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs), conflict-affected communities, or emergency WASH interventions would be an advantage.
