Requirements and Qualifications
The following are suggested requirements based on the nature of the position:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Law, Human Rights, Development Studies, or another relevant field.
- Relevant experience in humanitarian protection, child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), or community-based protection.
- Knowledge of protection principles, safeguarding, confidentiality, and referral mechanisms.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including children, women, internally displaced persons, and conflict-affected communities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, report-writing, and coordination skills.
- Ability to conduct community engagement, identify protection concerns, and support referrals to appropriate services.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging humanitarian environments.
