Global Peace Development (GPD) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in April 2002 and focuses on promoting peace for development in Nigeria. The organization envisions a country where peace and development is enjoyed by all. GPD seeks to build peace, gender equality, social justice, and foster democracy and governance at the community, local, state, and national levels.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Volunteer
Locations: Asaba and Ughelli, Delta

Position Overview
- GPD seeks passionate and committed Volunteers to support program implementation and administrative activities in its Asaba and Ughelli offices.
- The ideal candidates will assist in community engagement, documentation, field coordination, and general office support.
- This opportunity provides valuable exposure to the operations of a development organization and is ideal for new graduates or individuals seeking to build a career in the NGO and humanitarian sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of field activities and community engagements.
- Assist in data collection, documentation, and report preparation.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to program and finance teams.
- Support communication and visibility activities at the state level.
- Maintain organized filing and record systems.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Social Sciences, Management, or related fields
- Prior experience in volunteering, community development, or administrative work is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively in a team and in diverse environments.
- Commitment to the values and mission of Global Peace Development.
