We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nutrition & Food Security Officer

Location: Oron, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Contract
Duty Station: Oron LGA (with field activities across implementing LGAs)
Project Coverage LGAs: Nsit Atai, Okobo, Urue Offong/Oruko, Oron, Udung Uko, and Mbo

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement community-based nutrition and food security interventions
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and outreach activities
  • Facilitate nutrition education and behavior change sessions
  • Support livelihood and food access initiatives
  • Monitor indicators and prepare activity reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Public Health, Agriculture, or related field
  • At least 2 years experience in nutrition or food security programming
  • Strong community mobilization and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work across rural communities
  • Knowledge of local languages within the project LGAs is an added advantage
  • Applicants must be willing to work across all listed LGAs.
