Job Title: Technical Associate – Therapeutic Play
Location: Gbagada, Lagos

Summary
- We are seeking individuals who are passionate about children and health to provide social and psychological support to children in healthcare settings using play based techniques.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing play interventions that cater to the physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs of our young patients.
- Interventions would be delivered in dedicated safe spaces in hospitals and/or communities.
- This role requires a blend of leadership, compassion, empathy, and organizational skills to ensure that the playroom remains a safe and enjoyable space for children to heal and grow.
- Child Safeguarding: As an organization dedicated to protecting the well-being of children, we expect all employees to share this commitment.
- As part of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our programs and activities
- Adhering to our Child Safeguarding Policy and reporting any concerns or incidents
- Participating in training and awareness programs to recognize and respond to child safeguarding issues
- Maintaining appropriate boundaries and relationships with children and young people
- Contributing to a culture of transparency, accountability, and zero tolerance for child abuse and exploitation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee daily activities and programs in the hospital playroom
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to incorporate play interventions into the treatment plans of pediatric patients.
- Assess the individual needs and preferences of children to tailor activities and interventions accordingly.
- Raise awareness on the role and benefits of therapeutic play in paediatric healthcare.
- Maintain a welcoming and clean playroom environment that complies with infection control standards.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and hospital staff to promote a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
- Keep accurate records of playroom activities, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
- Contribute to research and grant writing activities.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree with 1-4 years work experience.
Salary
N150,000 monthly.
