Lluvia Health Organisation is an NGO dedicated to helping kids grow up healthy, happy, and confident by providing diverse support throughout their childhood journey, from conception until they transition to adulthood. Our areas of focus include: Nutrition, Therapeutic play, and Life-skills for adolescents.

Job Title: Technical Associate – Therapeutic Play

Location: Gbagada, Lagos

Summary

• We are seeking individuals who are passionate about children and health to provide social and psychological support to children in healthcare settings using play based techniques. 
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing play interventions that cater to the physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs of our young patients. 
• Interventions would be delivered in dedicated safe spaces in hospitals and/or communities.
• This role requires a blend of leadership, compassion, empathy, and organizational skills to ensure that the playroom remains a safe and enjoyable space for children to heal and grow.

• As part of our team, you will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our programs and activities
  • Adhering to our Child Safeguarding Policy and reporting any concerns or incidents
  • Participating in training and awareness programs to recognize and respond to child safeguarding issues
  • Maintaining appropriate boundaries and relationships with children and young people
  • Contributing to a culture of transparency, accountability, and zero tolerance for child abuse and exploitation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily activities and programs in the hospital playroom
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to incorporate play interventions into the treatment plans of pediatric patients.
• Assess the individual needs and preferences of children to tailor activities and interventions accordingly.
• Raise awareness on the role and benefits of therapeutic play in paediatric healthcare.
• Maintain a welcoming and clean playroom environment that complies with infection control standards.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and hospital staff to promote a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
• Keep accurate records of playroom activities, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
• Contribute to research and grant writing activities.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree with 1-4 years work experience.

Salary
N150,000 monthly.
