Impact on Reproductive Health Initiative (IRHI) is a community-based organisation on the CCCRN THRIVE Project, committed to fostering effective care delivery and capacity development through collaboration for improved quality of life.

The THRIVE Project (Transforming Health and Resilience for Individuals through Vibrant Empowerment) is a 5-year United States Government-funded project implemented by CCCRN and partners to improve the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), adolescents, and their caregivers across southern Nigeria. The project focuses on expanding access to HIV prevention, care, and treatment services, strengthening child protection and household economic resilience, and building community systems that support long-term health and social outcomes.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Strategic Information Assistant

Location: Eket, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 3-month contract (October – December 2025)

Job Description

  • We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Information Assistant to join our team for immediate engagement.
  • Possibility of Extension: Successful performance may lead to permanent engagement as a Strategic Information Officer.

Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Reporting:

  • Enter, validate, and manage program data using approved tools (DHIS2, NOMIS, Excel, ODK).
  • Support in maintaining high-quality data flow from community to state and national levels.
  • Generate routine reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) in line with donor and organizational requirements.
  • Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Support
  • Assist in implementing M&E frameworks for the THRIVE project.
  • Track program indicators and provide timely feedback to the program team.
  • Support analysis of data for decision-making and program improvement.
  • Participate in periodic data review meetings with project staff and stakeholders.

Capacity Building & Collaboration:

  • Provide technical support to field staff and community volunteers on data collection tools.
  • Collaborate with program teams to ensure timely and accurate data reporting.
  • Contribute to trainings and mentorship sessions on M&E and data quality improvement.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Demography, Health Information Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, Strategic Information, or Data Management within NGO/health projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, DHIS2, NOMIS, ODK/Kobocollect Tool Box, and other data management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and preparation of reports.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Mandatory: Must reside in Eket LGA or be willing to do so within one month of engagement
