Sheltered Hope Initiative (SHI) is an NGO with the mission of eradicating homelessness in Nigeria, 1,000 persons at a time, 1 city at a time, through our communal shelter program that will help homeless Nigerian residents transition into a state of self-sufficiency by which they become valuable and contributing members of the society.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Shelter Manager

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Part-time

Role Description

  • This is a part-time on-site Shelter Manager role located in Lagos at Sheltered Hope Initiative.
  • The Shelter Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the communal shelter program, including communication with residents, case management, social services, training, and research to support the transition of homeless individuals to self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in case management and social services
  • Ability to provide training to shelter residents
  • Proficiency in conducting research for program improvement
  • Empathy and compassion for homeless individuals
  • Background in social work or related field
  • Knowledge of local resources for homeless support.
