About the Program
The Building a Resilient Local Dairy Supply Chain in Nigeria (BuPreDMiN) initiative is a four-year project designed to transform Nigeria’s dairy sector. Our goal is to create a sustainable, productive, and climate-smart dairy value chain that increases incomes for local farmers, boosts resilience, and reduces the carbon footprint across Oyo, Ogun, and Osun states.
Your Role: Senior Program Manager
As the Senior Program Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in driving the success of the BuPreDMiN project. You’ll oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of all activities, lead a dynamic team, and serve as the bridge between field operations and key partners, including donors, government, and private sector players.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Implementation

Design and manage the program’s detailed implementation plan, log frame, and work plan.

Lead all field operations, ensuring targets and deliverables are met.

Oversee the development and expansion of Milk Collection Centers across target states.

Identify and scale up commercial ranches and support high-performing herders to invest in ranching.
Partnerships & Investment

Build and manage strategic relationships with government, private sector, and community stakeholders.

Facilitate investment opportunities within the dairy value chain, aligning them with viable business models.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

Work closely with the MEL team to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.

Monitor project budget, spending, and compliance.

Produce timely and high-quality reports, including quarterly donor updates and impact presentations.
Capacity Building & Communication

Lead team training sessions and develop relevant educational materials.

Represent the program at key external events, forums, and stakeholder meetings.

Provide insights and feedback to support future program development and proposals.
Qualifications
-
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development, or related field (Bachelor’s + 10 years’ experience also accepted).

At least 8 years of professional experience in international development.

Minimum 5 years leading complex programs with large teams.

Strong background working with donor-funded projects, ideally with private sector involvement.
Preferred Skills & Assets

Experience managing large-scale projects in Nigeria.

Understanding of livestock, dairy, and investment-driven agricultural models.

Strong grasp of women/youth inclusion in development programming.
-
Fluency in English and Yoruba; knowledge of Fulfulde is an added bonus.
Travel Requirement: 40-50% local travel within project states.
