FAME Foundation is a gender-based non-profit organization established solely to solicit, encourage, and advance the social, emotional, and economic well-being of women and girls as well as formulate programs within the framework of the national development plan with a view of enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
Responsibilities:
- Compile, analyze, and clarify information, data, and research regarding Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
- Analyze existing STEM legislation, regulations, policies, and practices to determine actual and potential impacts in the lives of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
- Liaise with stakeholders in the STEM and PWDs Ecosystem on collaborations and synergy towards the sustainable development goals.
- Manage all STEM related affairs at FAME Foundation on daily basis.
- Seek funding, grants and support for STEM and PWDs projects.
- Implementation and oversight support, including overseeing FAME Foundation’s knowledge and capacity development services for the overall STEM training programs for beneficiaries.
- Organize and formulate national STEM and PWDs programs while liaising with relevant stakeholders.
- Policy advise and advocacy on STEM and rights of PWDs.
Qualifications:
- Graduates with bachelor’s or master’s degrees in a STEM field (e.g., Sciences, Educational Technology, Engineering, or related areas).
- Proven experience in project management and coordination.
- Proven ICT Skills.
- Understanding of STEM education, especially for individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Passion for promoting inclusivity and gender equality in STEM.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in Civil Society Organization.
