Sahei Gender Development Initiative, was formally known and called Sanitation and hygiene education initiative (SGDI). The organization is a Nigerian non-governmental and not-for-profit making organization incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in November 2014. It is an organization that facilitates, advocates, and raises awareness for access to improved services among vulnerable individuals. The organization focuses in the areas of WASH, Protection/GBV, Empowerment/livelihood, Waste Management, Health/Nutrition, Climate Change and Peace Building. The organization has experienced staff that are equipped with knowledge, skills to response when the need arises. The organizations staff can work all over the liberated LGAs of Borno State.
The organization was established to promote well-being of individuals and alleviate the suffering of conflict affected people and the vulnerable groups of people in Northeastern Nigeria. In pursuit of its mission, the Organization works with partners to execute programs aimed at improving the livelihood and living standards of vulnerable children, women and girls, men, widows, internally displaced persons, and persons living with disabilities.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Maiduguri, Borno; Roving to Sokoto and Katsina
Job type: Contract
Duration: 9 months with possible extension
Job Summary
- The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the successful delivery of projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
- This role involves coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring project objectives align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinated
Project Implementation:
- Lead the day-to-day implementation of project activities.
- Supervise project staff, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure quality performance.
- Monitor project activities.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Track passes
- Lead
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and final narrative and financial reports for donors and internal use.
- Document lessons learned and best practices.
Finance:
- Oversee project budgets, including forecasting and expenditure tracking.
- Ensure compliance with donor and organizational financial regulations.
- Approve and manage procurement and logistics related to the project.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for donors, partners, and local stakeholders.
- Foster strong collaboration with government, communities, and other partners.
- Represent the organization in project-related meetings, conferences, and forums.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or certification (PMP, PRINCE 2, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Experience:
