GOALPrime Organization Nigeria (GPON) is a policy-driven humanitarian, non-governmental organization that implements her program through a revitalized partnership. It is a non-profit organization with a mandate of making the lives of vulnerable people better, those affected by disaster or crisis. GPON is presently operating in the Northeastern regional part of Nigeria where we have reached over 100,000 lives with relief materials, child protection services. GBV mitigation services, livelihood skill-building, health services, and Education support services.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Project Assistant
Location: Kala-Balge / Dikwa / Ngala LGA, Borno
Reports to: Project Coordinator and relevant sector officer
Staff reporting to this post: None
Duration: 3 months
Role Purpose
- Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator and relevant sector leads, the Project Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative, operational, and field support to the emergency activation.
- The post holder will help teams organise activities, compile documentation, track attendance and distribution records, support logistics and procurement follow-up, and facilitate timely reporting across Nutrition and WASH activities.
Key Areas of Accountability
- Support day-to-day planning and administrative follow-up for field activities under the emergency activation.
- Assist sector teams with beneficiary records, activity attendance sheets, distribution lists, and filing of means of verification.
- Support preparation of activity requests, movement plans, procurement requests, and operational paperwork.
- Help compile weekly updates, photos, field notes, trackers, and reporting inputs from nutrition and WASH teams.
- Support communication and coordination between field teams, office teams, community structures, and local authorities where required.
- Ensure that project documents are complete, well filed, and available for monitoring, audit, and donor review.
- Support data entry, reconciliation of field records, and basic tracker management.
- Assist in organising meetings, trainings, distributions, supervision visits, and field-level community engagement activities.
- Flag documentation gaps, schedule delays, or operational bottlenecks to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Support accountability and safeguarding actions, including handling of feedback records through approved channels.
- Carry out any other reasonable task assigned to support effective project delivery during the 3-month activation.

- The job duties and responsibilities set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, Business Administration, or another relevant field.
Experience And Skills:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in humanitarian or development project support roles.
- Experience supporting field documentation, filing, logistics follow-up, or basic project administration.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and relevant local language(s).
- Good computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, email, and digital record management.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and ability to work across teams.
- Ability to work in challenging field locations and meet deadlines.
