Job Title: Program Trainer – SDGs & Climate Change

Job Summary

  • At Solardero Foundation, we are on a mission to bring light — literally and figuratively — to underserved communities across Nigeria.
  • We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Trainer based in Enugu State to deliver impactful training on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Climate Change to school children in off-grid, underserved communities without access to electricity.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver age-appropriate, engaging training sessions on SDGs and climate change to school children in underserved, off-grid communities in Enugu State
  • Develop and adapt training materials suitable for young learners with limited resources
  • Travel within Enugu State to schools and communities without reliable power access
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for children
  • Track and report on participant progress and training outcomes
  • Support curriculum development and program improvements
  • Represent the Solardero Foundation with professionalism and compassion in all community engagement

Requirements

  • Education: HND or equivalent; a background in Environmental Science, Development Studies, Education, or related field is an added advantage
  • Experience: 2–5 years in training, teaching, or community engagement

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate change concepts
  • Experience working with children or young learners is essential
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to deliver training in low-resource, off-grid environments
  • Based in Enugu State or willing to relocate
  • Empathetic, patient, and mission-driven
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Igbo or other local languages is a strong advantage.
