The French Section of MSF is currently seeking a qualified professional for the following position: Position: Medical Doctor Work Location: Jahun, Nigeria Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (Renewable) Opening Date: 29th January 2026 Closing Date: 6th February 2026 Main Purpose Provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care to patients and beneficiaries, utilizing up-to-date medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values, and universal hygiene standards to improve their health conditions. Key Accountabilities Clinical Care: Conduct outpatient and inpatient consultations, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe treatments in strict accordance with MSF protocols. Patient Management: Follow up on the evolution of hospitalized or IDP patients through daily visits; manage discharges and transfers in collaboration with the medical team. Maternal & Newborn Care: Provide emergency obstetric and newborn care (BEmONC and CEmONC), maternal intensive care, and neonatal resuscitation/management. Specialized Care: Evaluate and manage patients with Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF) and Rectovaginal Fistula (RVF). Provide trauma-informed care to survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). Communication: Ensure patients and families are fully informed about illnesses and treatment plans. Quality & Safety: Control the rational distribution of medicines; ensure disinfection and sterilization of medical material; maintain professional confidentiality. Team Leadership: Manage and supervise the medical/paramedical team, including performance reviews and shift scheduling. Data & Training: Participate in epidemiological data collection and analysis; provide ongoing training to the multidisciplinary team to optimize care quality. Requirements Education: * Essential: Medical Doctor Diploma. Desirable: Diploma in Tropical Medicine. Experience: * Essential: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work (includes medical training). Desirable: Experience in Tropical Medicine, Public Health, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, A&E, Infectious Diseases, or HIV/TB. Languages: * Essential: English (Mission language). Desirable: Hausa / Fulani. Contract & Remuneration Hours: 208 working hours per month. Salary: According to the MSF salary scale, plus a 13th-month allowance.
