Job Summary
MSF is looking for a qualified and motivated Physiotherapist to join its team in Katsina. The person will help patients—especially children—recover physically through treatment plans, exercises, and support. The role also involves working with families and staff to make sure patients are well cared for during and after treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Check each patient’s physical condition and set treatment goals.
- Design and carry out therapy plans, including exercises, massages, and use of special equipment.
- Work closely with children and caregivers to support movement and recovery, especially for malnourished children.
- Teach patients and hospital staff how to avoid injuries and practice safe movement.
- Record patient progress and update files accurately.
- Take care of therapy equipment and request replacements when needed.
- Report problems like missing equipment or security issues to your supervisor.
- Organize group play and movement sessions for children.
- Provide guidance to parents on how to support their child’s development at home.
Requirements
Education:
- Must have a recognized degree in Physiotherapy.
Experience:
- Must have experience working with children.
- Experience in nutrition programs is an added advantage.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge (Word and Excel).
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work with teams and show flexibility.
- Committed to MSF’s values of neutrality, impartiality, and humanitarian service.
- Interested in working closely with children and their families.
Languages:
- Must speak English and Hausa fluently.
- Knowledge of other local languages is a bonus.
Salary and Benefits
- Monthly salary is based on the MSF salary scale.
- Includes a 13th-month bonus (equal to one month’s salary).
