The Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA) is an international medical organization, founded in 2009. ALIMA’s aim is to provide a high standard of healthcare in situations of emergency or medical disaster and to improve the practice of humanitarian medicine by developing innovative projects associated with medical research.

Main objectives:
- Improving medical supply within the project
- Guarantee patient safety by complying with protocol and the rational use of medicines.
- Support the medical team in good pharmaceutical practice
- Capitalize on pharmaceutical activity (indicators)
Specific objectives :
The Pharmacy Technician reports to the Pharmacy Supervisor
Ordering and reception of the orders
- Prepare orders in collaboration with the pharmacy supervisor, in accordance with the defined timetable and procedure
- Assist the pharmacy supervisor in receiving orders.
- Working with logistics, check that box numbers match the numbers recorded on the freight manifest.
- Check that the contents correspond to the packing list.
- Report the anomaly and draw up the claim
- Send the copy of the packing list with remarks on the project to coordination.
- Follow up the back order with the coordination.
Distribution to the project end users
- Ensuring compliance with the distribution plan defined by the pharmacy supervisor.
- Comply with the line of communication in force in the project.
- Working with the storekeepers, double-checking stock movements in and out.
Storage and lay out
- Ensure daily monitoring of storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cleanliness, etc.)
- Ensure that the storekeeper puts the stock away in accordance with standards.
- Working with the storekeepers to prepare orders and pack them in accordance with standards.
- Ensure that out-of-date medicines are stored in accordance with standards.
Administrative management
- Encode IN and OUT movements in stock records
- Record all the movements stock in SAGASTOCK
- In collaboration with the pharmacy supervisor, update the inventory plan in line with the order plan, grants closure and ensure compliance with the plan.
- Assist the pharmacy supervisor in analyzing discrepancies and provide an inventory analysis report.
- Assist the pharmacy supervisor in analyzing expired medicines, dormant stocks and overstocks at the end of each month and propose solutions.
- In collaboration with the pharmacy supervisor, ensure the regular sharing with the coordination of the updated status of expired medicines in the project.
Specific cold chain management
- Ensuring daily monitoring of good storage conditions in accordance with standards
- Display the contents on the refrigerator
- Strictly follow the emergency plan in the event of a break in the cold chain.
- Prepare equipment for cold chain deliveries
- Ensure strict compliance with the packaging procedure for passive cold chain transport.
Education, Work Related Experiences & Skills
Education:
- Degree as pharmacy technician or nursing related studies or medical profile.
Experience and skills:
- At least 1 year in a similar position
- English language is a must and local language would be an asset.
- Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel).
- Self-starter, ability to work autonomously, excellent organizational skills, flexibility, commitment, team work
