Paramilitary CBT Exam: Board Advises Shortlisted Candidates on Login Procedure

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued important instructions to all shortlisted candidates preparing for the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) scheduled to begin Wednesday.

According to a statement by the Secretary to the Board, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril, candidates are strongly advised to log in at least 30 minutes before their scheduled examination time each day to ensure proper verification and readiness.

The CBT exercise, which runs from today through next week, will begin daily at 9:00 a.m. and will cover recruitment processes for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

Maj.-Gen. Jibril emphasized that only candidates officially scheduled for each session will have portal access, as the system automatically opens 30 minutes before each exam window.

How to Log In:

  • Visit the official recruitment portal: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng
  • Complete the photo verification process
  • Remain in the virtual waiting room until the exam begins automatically at your allotted time

The Board warned candidates to strictly adhere to the examination rules to avoid disqualification. The AI-proctored system is programmed to detect and record any form of malpractice, third-party assistance, or device manipulation.

Candidates are advised to ensure:
Stable internet connection
Steady power supply
Use of a laptop or desktop computer (mobile phones and tablets are permitted but not recommended)

Note: Interruptions such as calls or switching applications during the exam will trigger violation alerts. Repeated violations may lead to automatic disqualification or exam failure.

In the event of disconnection, candidates can rejoin the exam within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped.

This guideline aims to ensure a smooth, fair, and transparent recruitment process across all participating paramilitary services.
