  • Under the ECHO SAHARA Project, TBI-JDPC Sokoto is delivering life-saving assistance through integrated programming, including Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA).

Position Summary

  • The Multipurpose Cash (MPC) Officer will support the effective implementation of cash-based interventions, ensuring timely, accountable, and high-quality delivery of assistance to vulnerable households in line with donor requirements and humanitarian standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) activities across target communities.
  • Support beneficiary identification, registration, and verification processes.
  • Coordinate cash transfers (mobile money, vendor-assisted, or direct cash).
  • Conduct market monitoring and support transfer value adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate beneficiary databases and documentation.
  • Support Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and data collection activities.
  • Ensure accountability through functional feedback and complaint mechanisms.
  • Liaise with community stakeholders and participate in coordination meetings.
  • Prepare timely activity reports and ensure compliance with donor requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years experience in humanitarian programming, preferably in cash-based interventions.
  • Experience with ECHO or similar donor-funded projects is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboCollect, ODK).
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and standards.
  • Fluency in English and Hausa is required.
