The Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) is a leading Non-Governmental and Not-for-Profit Organization established in 1989 by two eminent and reputable Nigerians who are the most prominent advocates of Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Family Planning (FP) programming in Nigeria. ARFH, a Nigerian fully indigenous, Non- Governmental, and Not-for-Profit organization had implemented projects across the 36+1 states of Nigeria on cross cutting programs including Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health plus Nutrition Investment Case (RMNCAH+N), Family Planning (FP), Global fund grants on HIV, TB and Malaria as Prime & Sub recipient, USAID grants on Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) among others.

Job Description
- Monitor and ensure high standards of nursing and clinical services are maintained in accordance with internationally acceptable policies and procedures.
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to healthcare protocols and best practices.
- Take the lead and coordinate action in the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness across the areas of responsibility.
- Ensure the environment is fit for patience, care, and recovery. Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring safety, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained.
- Demonstrate autonomy and expertise in the delivery of patient care.
- Promote patient-centered care and address concerns to improve service delivery.
- Supervise and ensure peri-operative nursing procedures are carried out in accordance with international standards of infection prevention and control.
- Antenatal care for all pregnant women, ensuring early detection and timely intervention of pregnancy-related illnesses and safe delivery. Management of pregnant women, labor, and postnatal care.
- Ensure access to family planning services to all women of reproductive age, including adolescents, and provide the opportunity to make the right decision by choice and not by chance, including youth-friendly health services.
- Creation of awareness on all reproductive health care services, including family planning methods. Educate patients and staff on modern contraceptive methods, reproductive health, and maternal well-being.
- Adhere to national policies and protocols for family planning services. Ensure compliance with national policies and protocols on family planning.
- Interface with a multidisciplinary team to diversify the uptake of family planning services. Work with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate family planning into broader healthcare services.
- Keep in line with the national standard of documentation and audit of family planning commodities using the NHIS tools.
- Implement staff development programs and ensure competency
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing teams to enhance professional growth.
- Conduct training programs on nursing best practices, emergency care, and reproductive health.
- Monitor staff performance and address any professional development needs.
- Fostering a positive work environment and addressing staff concerns
- Ensure nursing documentation and patient records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Enforce hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with management on resource allocation, budgeting, and supply management.
- Participate in healthcare audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies
- Promote patient education on health, wellness, and disease prevention.
- Advocate for community outreach programs on maternal health and family planning.
- Collaborate with external agencies for continuous healthcare improvements.
- Promote patient-centered care and address patient concerns.

Qualifications / Experience
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in nursing, with at least 7 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in reproductive health and family planning is mandatory.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, valid NMCN license, and certification in family planning or reproductive health services is an advantage.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
- Knowledge of modern family planning methods and healthcare policies.
- Ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and ensure high standards of care.
