Job Title: Livelihood and Economic Recovery Assistant
Location: Sokoto

Responsibilities
- The Livelihood and Economic Recovery Assistantwill beresponsible for delivering livelihoods and empowerment services with intargeted communities. S/he identifies the type of assistancefor specific populations.
- S/he will work with the livelihood officer to coordinate andconduct rapid sectorial needs and market assessments in the field, and provide regularmonitoring of field activities, pertimely inputs and feedback to the state program manager.
- Support the provision of Household Economic Strengthening interventions that is aligned with socio-economic vulnerability status, designed to improve household resilience to shocks, reduce food insecurity (access and availability).
- Collaborate with Agriculture Institutes within the state to strengthen farm-based livelihoods and improve food access and availability among vulnerable populations and IDPs
- Conduct joint monitoring and supportive supervision visits with Government officials to support high-quality HES intervention and SILC implementation.
- Support trainings in prioritized areas of Economic Recovery, and HES in collaboration with the Health and Nutrition Officer
- Document project results and impacts in various forms, including success stories, promising practices, lessons learned, case studies, client satisfaction, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years experience.
- Experience in the Economic Graduation Approach, including livelihood strengthening, market-based interventions, and financial inclusion.
- In-depth understanding of microfinance, vocational training, small business development, and value chain analysis.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing livelihood and economic recovery programs, particularly in IDP settings.
- Ability to engage with local markets, private sector actors, and financial institutions to enhance economic opportunities for vulnerable populations.
- Experience coordinating multi-sectoral livelihood interventions, including cash transfer programs, entrepreneurship support, and skills development.
