Job Summary

Leading state-level data management activities for the SARMAAN II project, you will oversee data collection, quality assurance, analysis, and reporting. Under the guidance of the MEL Officer, you will ensure project milestones and performance indicators are tracked accurately to support program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Coordination

  • Coordinate data activities at state, LGA, and ward levels.
  • Oversee collection, cleaning, storage, and archiving of project data.
  • Lead data quality audits to strengthen accountability.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Track milestones and provide routine feedback on implementation progress.
  • Contribute to monthly, post-implementation, and Mass Drug Administration (MDA) reports.
  • Support daily review meetings during campaigns with real-time data feedback.

Technical Support & Analytics

  • Develop data collection tools, checklists, and management templates.
  • Create real-time dashboards, GIS mapping, and spatial analysis tools.
  • Coordinate data collection for post-coverage surveys.

Capacity Building & Collaboration

  • Train project staff and build capacity for state/LGA data officers.
  • Provide technical support to the State Polio Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).
  • Partner with supply chain teams to track real-time drug utilization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Requirement Description
Education Master’s degree in Data Management, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field.
Experience Minimum 2 years in public health data management/M&E within Nigeria.
Software Proficiency in STATA, SPSS, SAS, Epi Info, MATLAB, or CSPro.
Tech Skills Knowledge of programming (Python, PHP, or C++) and MS Office.
Languages Fluency in Hausa and English is required.
Added Value Experience in software development or database administration.
