Role Summary

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Medical Supervisor will ensure high-quality implementation of health services within Ministry of Health (MoH) primary healthcare facilities. The role focuses on strengthening health systems and ensuring integrated service delivery across Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Gender-Based Violence (GBV) response, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), and Nutrition programs.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation

• Ensure effective implementation of health programs in MoH facilities in line with project objectives and donor requirements.
• Maintain compliance with grant guidelines, program standards, and internal organizational procedures.
• Develop workplans and activity schedules in coordination with the Program Manager.
• Monitor budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Collaborate with MoH leadership to strengthen health systems.

Service Integration

• Lead and supervise the integration of SRH, GBV, MHPSS, and Nutrition services into primary healthcare packages.
• Coordinate closely with technical officers and stakeholders to ensure holistic programming.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Medical Doctor, Nurse, Midwife, Public Health Professional, or related field.
• Certification: Program management cycle certification is an added advantage.
• Experience: * Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in a similar role within the humanitarian sector.
  • Experience working with MoH structures and supporting health system strengthening.
  • Background in program cycle management, budgeting, donor compliance, emergency response, and outbreak management.
  • Ability to analyze epidemiological situations and manage multidisciplinary teams.

Technical & Personal Skills

• Technical: Strong coordination across health sectors (SRH, GBV, MHPSS, Nutrition); excellent report writing; proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Leadership: Strong mentoring and supervision abilities; ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Soft Skills: Cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and flexibility to work irregular hours during emergencies.
• Language: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
