We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: ICT Officer, Office of Corporate Services – Global Operations

What will you do?

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks;
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and routers;
  • Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems;
  • Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs;
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and security.
  • Plan and execute IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and installations;
  • Make an inventory of existing IT equipment in the form of a file to facilitate updating.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of network and server infrastructure;
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for the development of common tools in terms of IT services.
  • Support the roll-out of new applications;
  • Maintain surveillance cameras;
  • Perform ICT training for staff.
  • Report monthly on activities to the direct supervisor and the Regional I.T. Officer;
  • Perform any other technical tasks required by the organisation.

Who will you report to?:

  • The ICT Officer reports to the Country Director. S/he will also work under the general guidance and direction of the Regional IT Officer.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred;
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in an information technology role;
  • Experience working with network and server management support.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, hardware, and upgrades;
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS software would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of online platforms such as Office 365 and SharePoint;
  • Knowledge of Meraki Security Appliances and Managed Switches;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative;
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multicultural and decentralised work environment.

  • The salary grade for this position is BG 17 with a monthly salary of USD 1,562.83.
  • IFDC’s benefits include annual and sick leave, health and group life insurance coverage, a 13th-month salary, social security and pension contribution in compliance with local laws and end-of-contract benefits
