We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hygiene Promoter

Location: Borno
Job type: Full-time

Position  Summary

  • The Hygiene Promoter supports the implement supports the implementation of WASH activities by promoting safe hygiene practices, Raising Community awareness , and encouraging behavior change to prevent Disease.

Key  Responsibilities

  • Conduct community hygiene education and awareness sessions on safe water handling, sanitation and disease prevention.
  • Mobilize and engage communities to participate in hygiene promotion and maintainance of wash facilities.
  • Support the distribution and correct use of hygiene kits and materials.
  • Monitor and report on hygiene conditions , behaviors, and functionality of WASH facilities. • Promote inclusive and gender-sensitive hygiene practices, including menstrual  hygiene management.
  • Collective feedback and complaints from community members and share them with the WASH/MEAL teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of Secondary School Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Community Development or related field.
  • Must have 1-2 years hygiene promotion, community mobilization , or WASH programs,
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene , sanitation , and public health principles.
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills
