The Impact Investors Foundation (IIF), a non-profit organisation, was established in 2019 to accelerate the growth of the impact investment industry in Nigeria.

Job Title: Investment and Deal Matchmaking Manager

About the Role

- We are seeking a strategic manager to drive high-impact deal matchmaking while managing investment initiatives that strengthen Nigeria’s impact investing landscape.
- This senior leadership role combines fund mobilisation with enterprise-investor alignment, leading the design, implementation, and scaling of the Wholesale Impact Investment Fund (WIIF) alongside delivering exceptional matchmaking experiences.
- The ideal candidate will curate robust deal pipelines, foster strong investor relationships, and catalyse investments across key sectors such as education, health, climate, and financial inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong pool of investors and investment-ready enterprises.
- Design and execute quarterly deal rooms, pitch sessions, and investor roadshows.
- Curate matchmaking strategies that align investor goals with enterprise needs.
- Drive post-event engagement to increase deal conversion rates.
- Develop and manage stakeholder engagement strategies with entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem actors.
- Support the Wholesale Impact Investment Fund (WIIF) through targeted capital mobilisation efforts.
- Facilitate partnerships with DFIs, private investors, and institutional funders.
- Contribute to fundraising and technical assistance strategies that sustain IIF’s operations.
Who We’re Looking For
- A Master’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience, with strong exposure to investment or financial services and at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to design and deliver matchmaking or investor engagement events.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in deal structuring, investor relations, and business advisory is a plus.
