Position: HMO Billing Officer
Location: Lagos

About the job

  • The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, and responsible for managing all aspects of the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) billing, reconciliation, and claims management to ensure timely and accurate payment for services rendered.

What to expect:

  • Prepare and submit HMO bills and claims accurately and on schedule.
  • Review and reconcile HMO payments, rejections, and outstanding balances.
  • Liaise with HMO representatives to resolve discrepancies or disputes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all HMO-related transactions.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and ensure prompt remittances.
  • Ensure compliance with HMO policies and agreements.
  • Generate and present regular billing reports to management.

Essential education, experience and skills:

  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Health Information Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HMO billing or a similar healthcare finance role.
  • Strong understanding of HMO operations and billing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail .
