Summary
- Are you a dynamic school leader with a heart for impact and a vision for educational excellence? We are seeking an experienced Head of School to drive the development of a purpose-driven learning environment built on compassion, innovation, and academic excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g., B.Sc/B.A) with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
- At least 4 – 6 years of progressive leadership experience in a reputable nursery and primary school setting
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with relevant aspects of the Nigerian education system (In-depth knowledge of British EYFS and Key Stages 1 & 2 curriculum is an added advantage)
- Demonstrated ability to manage academic and administrative operations effectively
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in staff supervision, performance management, and school improvement initiatives
- Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Abeokuta.
Who we are looking for:
- A visionary educator with a strong track record ofleadership of 4-6 years in early years and primary education, ideally within a Nigerian-British curriculum framework
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, academic planning, and assessment practices across EYFS and Key Stages 1 & 2
- Strong understanding of child-centered pedagogy, safeguarding, and inclusive education practices
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop teachers and non-teaching staff
- Proficient in school administration, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance (including Nigerian Ministry of Education and international best practices)
- Tech-savvy, with a commitment to integrating digital tools to enhance teaching, learning, and school operations
- A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, staff, and the wider school community
- Passionate about holistic education – academic excellence, character development, and nurturing confident, well-rounded global citizens
- Proven ability to build a positive, respectful, and achievement-oriented school culture.
