Job Title: Grant and Compliance Analyst

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • The Grant and Compliance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that all grant-funded activities are implemented in alignment with donor regulations, organizational policies, and statutory requirements.
  • The role involves monitoring financial and programmatic compliance, reviewing partner reports, conducting risk assessments, and supporting grant documentation and reporting processes.
  • This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of donor funding mechanisms, financial management, and compliance frameworks within the NGO sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of donor-funded grants and ensure strict adherence to donor and organizational compliance requirements.
  • Review and validate partner and sub-recipient financial and programmatic reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct periodic compliance checks and risk assessments to identify areas of potential non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor budget utilization and expenditure across projects to ensure alignment with approved funding allocations.
  • Assist in the development and review of grant proposals, budgets, and financial reports before submission to donors.
  • Support the design and implementation of internal control systems that promote accountability and transparency.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Program, and Procurement teams to ensure consistent application of donor and organization policies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of grants, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and implementing partners on donor compliance, reporting standards, and audit readiness.
  • Support the preparation for external and internal audits and ensure timely resolution of audit queries and findings.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 4 – 6 years relevant experience in grants management, donor compliance, or project accounting within the NGO or development sector.
  • Strong understanding of donor regulations (e.g., USAID, FCDO, Global Fund, or UN agencies).
  • Proficiency in accounting and financial management software (QuickBooks, ERP).
  • Sound analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.

Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 Monthly.
