We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: French Language Tutor
Locations: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 6 months.
Position Summary
- Search is seeking to contract a Consultant with extensive and proven experience in teaching French to professionals.
- This consultancy is aimed at strengthening the general communication in French language skills of identified staff whose functions requires communication in French Language with Search Country Programme in Cameroon, Chad and other Francophone Countries. Nigeria being the only English speaking country in the West Africa region, language and communication skills of the staff are critical for the success of Search Nigeria in its mandated duties.
- To this end, Search is seeking the services of a qualified individual French tutor or Institute who will provide tutoring services for selected staff in-person at Search Office in Abuja estimated at 2 sessions of 4 hours per week for a maximum duration of 6 months.
- The tutor is expected to deliver the classes in-person at the Search for Common Ground office.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in teaching French (both Physical and Virtual Training)
- Excellent written and spoken French language skills a requirement and ability to communicate in English language a strong asset
- Strong professional communication and inter-personal skills and able to transfer knowledge to Search staff
- The eligible candidate is independent, committed and reliable
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to change circumstances and needs

- The interested candidates are invited to submit their technical and financial proposals for this assignment. The technical proposal shall include:
- The CV of the candidate / facilitators;
- A proposed methodology for how the course program will be developed, how the& lessons will be planned and delivered and how course material will be purchased and used;
- A work plan illustrating all steps that the candidate will take to carry out the course
- Certification or documentation indicating applicant’s French teaching skills;
- Any other information that the Consultant finds relevant.&
- The financial proposal shall indicate the total amount required for covering all aspects of the course, broken down into the following categories:
- Facilitators fee
- course material
