We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Disability Inclusion Specialist
Locations: Maiduguri and Jere, Borno
Employment Type: Contract
Project Duration: 10 Months
Overview
The Disability and Inclusion Specialist ensures that persons with disabilities are meaningfully included in all aspects of the project and that activities comply with international disability rights frameworks, including the UNCRPD.
Key Responsibilities
The role provides technical guidance on inclusive program design, conducts accessibility audits, supports assistive device provision, builds staff and partner capacity, engages OPDs, and supports advocacy for disability‑inclusive policies.
The specialist monitors inclusion outcomes and documents lessons learned.
Qualifications & Experience
A University Degree in Disability Studies, Social Policy, Public Health, or a related field is required.
Proven experience in disability inclusion, strong analytical and training skills, and knowledge of international disability frameworks are essential.
