Role Overview
- The Director of Finance & Resource Development serves as the financial strategist and sustainability architect of Henosis International. This role ensures that the organization remains fiscally strong, well-resourced, and positioned for long-term growth.
- You will oversee all financial operations, lead fundraising and partnership development, manage donor relations, and ensure responsible stewardship of all resources.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Oversight
- Lead the development and management of annual budgets and financial plans.
- Monitor financial performance, ensuring compliance, accountability, and transparency.
- Oversee bookkeeping, financial reporting, audits, and internal control systems.
- Present accurate financial statements to the Executive Board and leadership.
- Establish systems that ensure proper stewardship of funds and responsible expenditure.
Resource Mobilization & Fundraising
- Design and execute fundraising strategies (grants, corporate sponsorships, donor campaigns, etc.).
- Identify and engage potential donors, partners, and supporters.
- Maintain strong donor relationships through consistent communication and impact reporting.
- Develop proposals, sponsorship packages, and pitch decks for resource development.
Partnership & Revenue Growth
- Build strategic partnerships with foundations, NGOs, private sector organizations, and philanthropists.
- Explore alternative revenue streams to strengthen financial sustainability.
- Lead negotiations and agreements with financial, impact, and development partners.
Organizational Support
- Advise leadership on financial strategy and long-term sustainability planning.
- Work closely with program directors to ensure funding is aligned with program goals.
- Provide financial training or guidance to volunteers and project leads (when needed).
- Ensure that financial decisions reflect the values and mission of Henosis International.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong background in finance, accounting, business administration, development, or related fields.
- Experience with nonprofit financial management is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, budgeting, and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement fundraising or resource development strategies.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Integrity, transparency, and commitment to accountability.
- Ability to work with volunteers and operate in a mission-driven environment.
