We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Consultant (Periodic Market & Value Chain Assessments) 

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Duration: 2 months, with quarterly assessments and a final synthesis report.

Objective

  • To conduct periodic assessments on market dynamics, dairy product improvements, pricing trends, and value chain performance to support adaptive project management.

Scope of Work
Market Price Monitoring:

  • Quarterly assessments in Maiduguri and surrounding markets
  • Track prices of milk, dairy products, fodder, feed inputs, and veterinary supplies
  • Analyze seasonal fluctuations

Dairy Product Quality & Value Addition:

  • Assess improvements in milk quality, packaging, and processing
  • Evaluate performance of milk collection hubs and the modern dairy facility
  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for value addition

Value Chain Mapping:

  • Map key actors: producers, traders, processors, distributors, cooperatives
  • Assess market linkages and recommend strategies for strengthening them

Baseline and endline Reporting:

  • Provide actionable recommendations for improving market access and profitability

  • Inception report
  • Quarterly market assessment reports
  • Value chain analysis report
  • Final consolidated assessment report.
