Proposal Title: Purchase of Capital Injection Kits for Youth Innovation

BACKGROUND

The youth innovation challenge which is an avenue to inject capital for youths who are into green jobs, aims to support young entrepreneurs and start-ups in communities of the BC-RAD costed
extension project.

The program seeks to promote sustainable development and environmental protection. This program will provide critical funding to youth-led initiatives, fostering innovative solutions and job
creation in the green sector.

Nuru Nigeria will implement this project in intervention communities of Gombi and Hong LGA.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the activity are as follows:

  • To create decent job opportunities for youths in the green sector
  • To promote sustainable development, environmental protection, and climate change mitigative practices.
  • To foster innovation and entrepreneurship among youth farmers to promote the green economy
  • To provide capital injection to youth-led green job initiatives, enhancing their growth and sustainability.

SCOPE OF WORK

The program will take place in Gombi and Hong BC-RAD communities, leveraging on the existing youth who are currently practicing, with a few additions for some communities. The youth farmers who would be community based, would be trained and monitored by Nuru Staff. Thematic Areas for this activity will align with green economy principles and demonstrate sustainability.

Innovations will focus on but are not limited to:

  • Renewable energy solutions (e.g., solar-powered agricultural tools, biofuel production)
  • Sustainable agriculture and agribusiness (e.g., organic farming, climate-smart agriculture)
  • Waste management and recycling (e.g., composting, upcycling, plastic reuse)
  • Water conservation and management solutions

DELIVERABLES/EXPECTED OUTPUT

By the end of this program that

  • Support 94 youths with capital injection through tool kits
  • Support the growth and sustainability for other farmers in their immediate communities,
  • through easy access to their services.
  • More jobs should be created and sustained
  • The innovation challenge will be for a month to enable youth participate in the activity

Content of Tenders

The Tenderer must provide all the documents provided by NN in the tender package with other documents requested by NURU NIGERIA in compliance with the requirements set out. The proposal
shall include, as a minimum: NN vendor registration form” and Code of conduct duly completed. These NN forms should be completed with all required information and the below to be provided accordingly.

  • Proof of company registration in Nigeria (CAC certificate);
  • Proof of being a licensed supply company
  • Current Tax Payment Certificate;
  • Quotation or detailed Price offer.
  • Prices offered must be in Nigerian Naira currency.
  • Only Unit price with WHT included will be accepted.
  • Quotation must have a date and validity
  • Quotation must mention mode of payment.
  • Nuru Nigeria’s Code of Conduct filled and signed by the duly authorized person.
  • Experience of working with INGOs and/or UN Agencies with two (2) relevant employees of such organizations as a reference.

  • Financial offers should be placed in a different envelop marked “Financial offer”
  • All copy placed in a sealed non-identifiable envelope.

NB: Only bidders that pass Administrative and Technical evaluation will proceed to Financial Evaluation.
