Job Title: Cohort Facilitator – IC Nigeria Project

Job Description

  • Relief and Hope Foundation (RAHF) is implementing the FAHIMTA Project, funded by the UK Government through the SPRiNG programme.
  • We are seeking passionate individuals to be trained as certified Facilitators for the innovative Integrative Complexity (IC) methodology.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete a comprehensive training program to become a certified IC Facilitator.
  • Facilitate dynamic and participatory IC workshop sessions for youth cohorts (ages 15-19) in your assigned LGA.
  • Motivate and retain youth participants throughout the 8-session course.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants.
  • Administer pre- and post-course assessments and manage basic data collection accurately.
  • Collaborate with the project team, community leaders, and parents to ensure the program’s success.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, Guidance & Counselling, or any related field.
  • Experience:
    • 1 – 3 relevant work experience.
    • Proven experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
      • Teaching or tutoring adolescents.
      • Providing psychosocial support (PSS) or counselling services.
      • Facilitating youth programs, community dialogue, or peacebuilding sessions.
  • Skills Required:
    • Energetic, demonstrative, and interactive facilitation style.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with youth.
    • Emotional intelligence and ability to manage sensitive group dynamics.
    • Conflict-sensitive with good judgment and calm under pressure.
    • Collaborative team player and adaptable problem-solver.
    • Open-minded and non-judgmental.
    • Understanding of psychosocial support (PSS) principles.
    • Experience working in conflict-affected areas.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be a resident of Plateau State.
    • Ability to communicate in local languages spoken in the target LGAs is a strong advantage.
    • Must be available for the full project duration and dedicated to the role’s time requirements.
