Job Description

  • Our client is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as their Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a visionary with a deep passion for education, social impact, and sustainable development.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in strategic leadership, organizational management, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the long-term growth and impact of the organization.
  • The CEO will lead the development and execution of both short-term and long-term strategies, ensuring that the organization’s vision and goals are effectively realized.
  • This role involves overseeing all programs, driving financial sustainability, and reporting the organization’s impact to supervising authorities.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Growth:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve the vision, goals, and aspirations of the organization.
  • Oversee the coordination and administration of all ongoing and future educational interventions.
  • Ensure the organization remains impactful, efficient, and aligned with global best practices in education and development.

Sustainable Funding & Financial Oversight:

  • Create and implement initiatives to secure a sustainable funding stream for the organization.
  • Prepare and oversee the annual budget, ensuring financial accountability and transparency.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Public Relations, Marketing & Advocacy:

  • Serve as the public face of the organization, advocating for educational access and social change.
  • Oversee marketing, public relations, and advertising efforts to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, government agencies, and community stakeholders.

Human Resource & Operational Management:

  • Lead the organization’s human resource planning and management, ensuring a motivated and high-performing team.
  • Oversee project planning and management, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Drive day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency across all functions.

Qualifications

  • A strategic leader with a Bachelor’s Degree (essential); an MBA or Master’s degree (preferred).
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in project management and program design, particularly in education and social development.
  • At least 5 years of management experience, including direct supervision of teams across diverse roles.
  • A track record of leading operational teams and driving large-scale system transformation.
  • Prior experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, metric-driven organizations is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to engage with government representatives, donors, and community organizations at various levels.
  • Prior experience in leading a Non-profit organization.

Skills:

  • Collaboration with other C-level executives, department heads and the board of directors
  • Strong cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to gender and ethnicity.
  • Open to new ideas, methods and approachable.
