Career Opportunity: Supply Chain Supervisor at Médecins Sans Frontières (Katsina)
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) France, a leading international medical humanitarian organization, is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Supply Chain Supervisor to join our team in Katsina, Nigeria.
This is a unique opportunity to join our Talent Pool / Eligibility List and contribute to essential medical interventions, including our Malaria and Nutrition response in Katsina State.
The Mission
MSF is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in distress, regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation. In Nigeria, we collaborate with the Ministry of Health on critical projects ranging from maternity response in Jigawa to nutrition programs in Katsina.
The Role: Main Purpose
As the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will plan and oversee the execution of all supply chain activities (order, procurement, transport, customs, and stock management). Your work ensures that our medical missions have the resources they need to function optimally and save lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Supervise day-to-day implementation of supply activities including procurement, transport, and stock management.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead the supply team, defining tasks, drawing up schedules, and supporting staff development and evaluations.
- Customer Service: Maintain constant communication with “customers” (internal departments), providing updates on order status and prioritizing needs.
- Data Management: Maintain the supply database and ensure accurate filing/archiving of all documentation to guarantee data coherence.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to MSF protocols, standards, and procedures.
Requirements
- Education: University degree in a relevant discipline. (Diplomas or certifications in Supply Chain are a significant advantage).
- Experience: At least 2 years in an MSF Logistics Department or previous experience in Supply Chain Activity-related roles.
- Languages: Local language is essential; Mission language (English) is desirable.
- IT Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Competencies: Strong commitment to MSF principles, behavioral flexibility, high-level stress management (L3), and a results-oriented mindset.
Remuneration & Contract
- Contract Type: Talent Pool / Eligibility List.
- Working Hours: 208 working hours per month.
- Salary: According to the MSF salary scale, plus a 13th-month allowance.
