The Role: Scope of Responsibilities

You will perform autonomous, complex electrical installations and maintenance across all MSF facilities in Abuja (offices, health structures, warehouses, and guest houses).

Your core focus will include:

  • Generator Systems: Load calculations, sizing, installation, routine maintenance, and fault diagnosis for uninterrupted power.
  • Solar Energy Systems: Installation, performance monitoring, and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Electrical Distribution & Safety: Managing distribution boards, grounding/earthing systems, and conducting regular safety tests (Insulation Resistance, Earth Resistance, RCCB tests, etc.).
  • Technical Leadership: Training staff on generator operations, supervising local contractors, and managing the inventory of electrical consumables and tools.

Requirements

  • Education: Essential Electrician diploma or recognized formal training.
  • Experience: * Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrician or Solar System Technician.
    • Proven experience with Generators, Power Sizing tools, and ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches).
    • Demonstrated skill in electrical troubleshooting and “hand working” installation.
  • Languages: English.
  • IT/Software: Knowledge of drawing software is a plus.
  • Key Competencies: Quality orientation, teamwork, behavioral flexibility, and a strong commitment to MSF Principles.

  • Contract Type: 6 Months Contract (with possibility of extension).
