The Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service (ZIRS) is launching a major recruitment exercise to onboard skilled professionals who will help drive effective revenue mobilization and administration across the state.

Available Positions and Key Requirements
Applications are invited for the following roles:
1. Tax Administration (Inspector of Taxes II)
ZIRS is seeking dedicated individuals to join the core Tax Administration team.
- Required Fields: Accounting, Economics, Taxation, or related fields.
- Experience: 0–3 years post-NYSC experience.
- Note: Professional legal qualifications are also required for certain roles within this stream.
2. Public Enlightenment & Communication
This team is responsible for managing ZIRS’s public image and ensuring clear communication with taxpayers.
- Required Fields: Mass Communication, Public Relations, or related fields.
- Key Advantage: Media and communication certifications are a strong advantage.
Professional Certifications (Added Advantages across all roles): We highly value professional certifications from recognized bodies, including CITN, ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, or other relevant professional bodies.
Mandatory Application Requirements (General)
All candidates must adhere strictly to the following criteria:
- Indigeneship: Must be a Zamfara State indigene.
- Age: Must be between 18–35 years for entry-level positions.
- Education: Minimum of HND/Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution, with at least a Second Class Lower Division or its equivalent.
- Character: Must possess good character and have no criminal record.
- Health: Must be medically fit (certified by a government hospital).
- Compliance: Must have a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) and be tax compliant.
- Documentation: Must provide a birth certificate or declaration of age.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ICT proficiency, digital literacy, teamwork, collaboration abilities, leadership potential, and attention to detail.
