Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is a non-profit non-governmental national organization established in Nigeria in July 2014 with the aim to improve the lives of people through effective and efficient humanitarian and developmental assistance in communities where such supports are essentially necessary within Nigeria. Through international and national networking, LPF provided humanitarian and developmental assistance to individuals, families, schools, Health facilities, and communities in more than twelve (12) states within Nigeria regardless of their ethnicity, political and religious affiliation. LPF fundamentally intervenes in multi-sectoral humanitarian activities, majoring in Protection, Health, Food Security & Livelihood, Education, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) interventions, and other Cross-Sectoral areas.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development and Partnership Manager

Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Main Responsibilities

  • Lindii Peace Foundation is currently looking for a Business Development and Partnership Managerin Nigeria under the supervision of the Country Director.
  • The Grant/Partnership Manager is responsible for managing donor funding relationships, developing strategic alliances, and overseeing grant programs to ensure compliance and impact.
  • Key duties include monitoring funding trends, building donor relationships, leading sub-award management, preparing proposals, reviewing applications and budgets, and ensuring adherence to donor policies.
  • The role involves utilizing grant management tools, supporting monitoring and evaluation, facilitating partnerships, conducting data analysis, and providing grant management training.
  • Additionally, the manager will support external audits, maintain documentation, and stay updated on donor guidelines to ensure efficient grant administration and organizational growth.
  • The post holder will strengthen LPF’s engagement with Donors, UN Agencies, International Organizations, National NGOs and CSOs by combining programme partnership development with hands-on support services capacity strengthening (Finance, HR, Logistics and Administration).

Responsibilities
Partnership development & management:

  • Conduct and maintain new existing donor/partner mapping and a partnership database that maps out funding support and partner capacity, influence, and strategic alignment with LPF programming.
  • Lead in donor selection process, partner selection, and due diligence, including meetings, donor audits, and assessments. Support partner selection processes for national NGOs, including local authority liaisons as needed.
  • Support drafting and management of partnership documentation (MoUs, agreements, budgets).
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships across Donors, UN Agencies, International Organizations, National NGOs and CSOs
  • Liaise with LPF’s Programme Managers to support the integration of support services into partnerships management in sectors including Protection, Health, Nutrition, FSL, WASH, Shelter and Settlements, Peace Building and Economic Recovery
  • Input into strategy development of various sectors to include plans and targets on the improvement of support services with partners.
  • Support technical coordinators to work with duty bearers in different governorates to improve their financial, HR, and Logistics systems and processes and to better support partners.
  • Conduct partnership reviews to inform future partnership engagements.

Capacity and Needs Assessments and Partnership Management in addition to Capacity Development:

  • Support, develop comprehensive capacity assessment tools related to project and programme design and management, including grants management processes.
  • Design and lead partner organisational capacity assessment covering programme/project management and support functions.
  • Conduct and analyse capacity assessments.
  • Develop, support and monitor the implementation of tailored capacity development plans.
  • Develop high-quality learning materials and deliver training/workshops.
  • Provide embedded mentorship and coaching to partners.
  • Establish and maintain productive links between partners and staff, and with LPF Program teams and Support departments.

Support services technical guidance:

  • Provide guidance on finance, procurement, HR, and supply chain systems.
  • Liaise with technical coordinators to integrate support services strengthening into strategies.
  • Support partners in developing/adapting support service policies and manuals.
  • Develop capacity development plans based on capacity assessments and consultations with LPF staff, local NGO staff, local authorities and sectors.
  • Develop relevant and high-quality learning materials including presentations, practical activities, guidelines, support resources, pre and post-tests etc.
  • Support partners and LPF staff to develop and utilise support service-related policies and manuals.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and spot checks of partner support functions to ensurecompliance to agreed standards.

Grants’ management and compliance:

  • Ensure partnership tools meet donor requirements and allow for adaptation and flexibility, and advocate for these changes at the country and donor level.
  • Lead grant opening meetings with partners and review key resources, including reporting templates, schedule of deadlines, communications processes, and highlight key parts of the sub-grant agreement.
  • Maintain reporting trackers and review Narrative and financialreports.
  • Ensure partners have the correct templates and understand quality standards for reporting.
  • Monitor partner spending, ensuring partners are compliant with eligibility rules, and prepare agreement modifications as necessary.

Field Support:

  • Conduct field visits for supervision, monitoring and coaching.
  • Document lessons learned and evidence of impact.
  • Provide reporting inputs as needed.

Accountability and coordination:

  • Ensure adherence to accountability standards.
  • Support integration of gender, protection mainstreaming, localisation, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Promote collaboration across departments.

People Management:

  • Provide on the job training as much as required and adapt trainings/coaching to specific staff needs within the partnerships.

Other Compliance Information:

  • Eager and required to adhere to LPF’s principles and values and promote gender justice and women’s rights.
  • Understanding of and commitment to adhere to equity, diversity, gender, child safety, and staff health and wellbeing principles.
  • Ensure that the properties in the place of work are respected and that no damage is caused to them.
  • Adhere to implementation standards, LPF ways of working, and the terms of the LPF Code of Conduct; including the commitment to zero tolerance on SEA and the obligation to report SEA cases.
  • He / She must not use their position of being engaged in LPF work to gain favors or material advantage.

  • The contract duration is 6 Months full time with possible extension upon satisfactory performance
