We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Aviation Assistant

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and administer air operations, ensuring adherence to WFP standards and risk management protocols to support safe and efficient air services.
  • Conduct pre-flight preparations to ensure all manifested passengers and cargo are accurately accounted for and boarded/loaded in close coordination with the flight crew, escalating any issues to the supervisor as required.
  • Supervise passengers during boarding to ensure that only authorized individuals access the aircraft, in coordination with the crew.
  • Compile and verify all post-flight documentation to confirm flight completion and compliance with established protocols, ensuring all tasks are updated in the system.
  • Address passenger queries promptly and professionally, adhering to standard procedures or escalating to the relevant unit as needed to maintain high client service standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment of aviation activities with UNHAS SAOP, fostering a cohesive approach to air operations.
  • Provide support to colleagues, assisting with task completion in line with agreed standards and deadlines.
  • Contribute to process reviews and recommend improvements to enhance the performance of air operations and related activities.
  • Adhere to standard emergency preparedness procedures, enabling WFP to respond effectively to crises in its core operational areas.
