Job Title : Commodity Tracking Officer

Job Description :
The incumbent above will work within the logistics department of Mon Club International operational structure in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and commodity tracking upon receipt to aid project beneficiaries. Responsibilities include managing commodity receipt, diligent weighing process, dispatch, and inventory of commodities while ensuring compliance with MCI and donor warehousing and commodity tracking procedures.
Location: Damasak, Borno (Non-family duty station)
Responsibilities
- Daily coordination of warehouse activities by ensuring quality control in the process of receiving issuing and storage of goods.
- Prepare warehouse reports and fill in waybills upon receipt and issuing of commodities including in Kind distributions.
- Dispatches food commodities and related supplies from the warehouse using appropriate donor warehouse established procedures and documents, Goods Issue Order, Waybills and update Stock Records accordingly.
- Ensure random weighing process of at least 20% commodities upon receipt of dispatches and document process accordingly and report issues promptly.
- Ensure warehouse best practices are undertaken; display of bin cards on each item in the warehouse; stock verification on (expiry dates), FIFO/FEFO, fumigation, generate the commodities movement waybills and gate passes etc.
- Maintain physical and electronic copies of inventory, as per formats and forms provided in the Warehouse Manual.
- Ensure prompt posting of commodities receipt/waybills and losses on the Last Mile App.
- Prompt submission of Commodity Receipt Tracker (CRT) to supervisor and donor.
- Coordinate with the logistics/fleet Officer for transportation and arrangement for timely dispatches of commodities to FDPs.
- Ensure proper warehouse control measures are instituted.
- Provide supervision to the warehouse team.
- Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to the organization and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission in Nigeria.
- Should be actively supporting and promoting safe work practices.
- Ensure good communication and positive working relationship with the direct reports, and other staff.
- Report problems encountered in the warehouse, at the FDPs or within the team to the Supervisor.
Skills and Competence
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office;(Outlook, excel, word and PowerPoint)
Other Requirement (Language(s) proficiency)
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Fluency in Hausa is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Education, Professional Experience, and Professional requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in a relevant Business field is desired.
- Experience- At least two (2) years of experience in large scale logistics operation and food distribution
- Experience in Northeast Nigeria is an added advantage.
- Experience working in WFP warehousing and In-kind food distribution project
