We are seeking passionate and detail-oriented Translators to join our team and provide routine support to research activities under the guidance of the Strategic Research and Learning Unit.

Key Experience / Qualification
- First degree in translation or equivalent in any discipline is essential.
- Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus.
- Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter, or similar role.
- Fluency in English, Hausa, Yoruba or chosen language.
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
- Good knowledge of content editing tools.
- Time management skills
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the translator include the following:
- The candidate will translate relevant research study documents and instruments e.g., Discussion Guides, Questionnaires, etc, from English into the appropriate local language (e.g., Hausa, Yoruba, etc.) or from the local language (e.g., Hausa, Yoruba, etc.) to English.
- Ensure translated texts convey original meaning and tone.
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy.
- Support with pretest of some of the contents with clients to ensure translation meets their needs.
- Edit content and maintain the original format (font and structure).
- Submit the final version to the team upon completion of the assignment.
