Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Ideal People (AISVIP) is a Non-Governmental Organization geared toward empowering vulnerable and less privilege people in the society. The organization history dates back to 2016 when group of people conceived an idea of contributing to humanitarian activities in North East Nigeria. The organization was registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on 17th July 2018, as a non-political, non-profitable, National-based organization. It is committed to improve the quality of life of most vulnerable and less privileged people, particularly people affected by insurgency in North East Nigeria. Also the organization has been accredited by Borno State Committee on Humanitarian Response (BOSCHR), Office of the Secretary to the State Government, and also recommended by Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). The Ultimate goal of AISVIP is to empower and inspire vulnerable and less privilege people, to contribute for peace and nation building. Over the years, AISVIP has grown significantly both in terms of its programs and geographical coverage in Borno and Yobe states in partnership with UN Agencies, National and International Organization.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: GBV Caseworker
Locations: Jere LGA – Borno and Fune LGA – Yobe
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilties
GBV Case Management:
- Provide survivor-centered GBV case management services in line with the Inter-Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines.
- Conduct safe intake, assessment, case planning, referral, follow-up, and case closure for GBV survivors.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and secure case files and documentation.
Psychosocial Support & Referrals:
- Provide basic psychosocial support and emotional first aid to survivors.
- Facilitate referrals to health, legal, PSS, shelter, and livelihood services as appropriate.
- Coordinate closely with service providers to ensure timely and safe referrals.
Community Engagement & Awareness:
- Support GBV awareness-raising activities and community dialogues in collaboration with Protection teams.
- Promote knowledge of available GBV services, referral pathways, and feedback mechanisms.
Reporting & Coordination:
- Prepare regular case management updates and reports while ensuring survivor confidentiality.
- Participate in GBV coordination meetings and trainings as required.
Safeguarding & Ethics:
- Ensure strict adherence to survivor-centered principles, confidentiality, informed consent, and “do no harm.”
- Comply with AISVIP safeguarding, PSEA, and Code of Conduct policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a B.Ed Degree with 3 – 5 years experience.
