Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Ideal People (AISVIP) is a Non-Governmental Organization geared toward empowering vulnerable and less privilege people in the society. The organization history dates back to 2016 when group of people conceived an idea of contributing to humanitarian activities in North East Nigeria. The organization was registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on 17th July 2018, as a non-political, non-profitable, National-based organization. It is committed to improve the quality of life of most vulnerable and less privileged people, particularly people affected by insurgency in North East Nigeria. Also the organization has been accredited by Borno State Committee on Humanitarian Response (BOSCHR), Office of the Secretary to the State Government, and also recommended by Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). The Ultimate goal of AISVIP is to empower and inspire vulnerable and less privilege people, to contribute for peace and nation building. Over the years, AISVIP has grown significantly both in terms of its programs and geographical coverage in Borno and Yobe states in partnership with UN Agencies, National and International Organization.

Aid Initiative to Support Vulnerable and Idle People core mandates include Protection according to the rule of law, Educational Support, Livelihood support, Enlightenment for Peace and Community Development, and Waste Management.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountability / AAp Officer

Locations: Jere LGA – Borno and Fune LGA – Yobe
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilties
Accountability & Community Engagement:

  • Establish and manage multiple community feedback and complaint mechanisms (CFMs), including helpdesks, suggestion boxes, hotlines, and community meetings.
  • Ensure feedback mechanisms are accessible to women, children, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
  • Promote community participation in project design, implementation, and review processes.

Feedback Management & Response:

  • Receive, document, analyze, and track community feedback and complaints in a confidential and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure appropriate response, referral, and closure of feedback cases.
  • Produce regular analysis reports on feedback trends and programmatic implications.

Integration with Protection & Safeguarding:

  • Ensure safe referral pathways for sensitive complaints, including PSEAH, GBV, and child protection cases.
  • Work closely with the PSEA Focal Point, Protection, and MEAL teams to strengthen survivor-centered responses.
  • Support integration of AAP into protection monitoring and risk analysis.

Capacity Building & Compliance:

  • Train staff and community focal points on AAP principles, complaint handling, and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with NHF AAP requirements, Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), and AISVIP accountability policies.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree with 4 – 10 years experience.
