Intellect Care is seeking highly skilled and licensed mental health professionals (Counsellors and Clinical Psychologists) to join our collaborative network as a Trust and Safety Clinical Provider in Nigeria. This is a remote role focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy and counselling via telehealth.

Job Title: Trust and Safety Clinical Provider (Nigeria)

Location: Lagos (Remote)

1. The Role: Your Clinical Impact

As a Clinical Provider, you will deliver 1-on-1 mental health support, addressing a wide spectrum of clinical cases—from anxiety and depression to trauma, addiction, and more severe mental health experiences. You will be a vital partner to our internal team, helping to improve the platform and client programs.

Key Clinical Focus: Providing effective, evidence-based care spanning up to 50 minutes per session.

2. Mandatory Professional Requirements

This is a Trust and Safety role, meaning strict adherence to clinical standards, licensing, and documented experience is mandatory.

A. Qualifications (One of the following):

Professional Title Minimum Requirements
Counsellor Minimum Master’s Degree in Counselling/Counselling Psychology.
Clinical Psychologist Minimum Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.

B. Experience and Expertise (Must Haves):

  1. Clinical Hours: A minimum of 300 hours of clinical/therapy experience post-master’s degree (excluding practicum/placement/internship). This is a hard requirement.
  2. Licensing: You must hold valid and active licenses applicable to practice in Nigeria.
  3. Methodology: Expertise in evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), DBT, or SFBT.
  4. Languages: Proficiency in English and your local language is required.
  5. C. Preferred Experience:
  • Prior experience in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), adult counseling, or coaching managerial roles is a plus.
  • Openness to occasional necessary onsite work is valued.
