Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a non-profit organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting global health and economic initiatives in Nigeria. It was established as indigenous organizational, registered in 2009 with its headquarter in Abuja, and presence in the four geopolitical regions of Nigeria. It aims to provide technical assistance to the government and people of Nigeria in the implementation of public health and development programs.

Job Description
- We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Program Officer to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of ACE-1 project activities across the state.
- The successful candidate will ensure high-quality delivery, financial accountability, and effective stakeholder engagement in line with donor expectations and project targets.
- Key responsibilities include developing and reviewing monthly and quarterly work plans, preparing activity memos, and ensuring at least 90% of planned activities are executed within approved timelines and budgets.
- The Program Officer will conduct monthly joint field monitoring visits, generate actionable reports, and oversee RFI implementation, cluster-level documentation, and archiving.
- Additionally, the role involves tracking and reviewing program expenditures, initiating corrective actions for deviations beyond ±10%, and submitting monthly pipeline and expenditure analysis reports.
- The candidate will maintain up-to-date monitoring checklists and budget tracking tools, facilitate advocacy and coordination meetings with key stakeholders, and produce a monthly stakeholder bulletin.
- Accurate and timely reporting is essential, including monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports, as well as maintaining organized electronic archives of all project documentation.
- The Program Officer will also provide HR management support by updating the State Ad hoc Personnel database and ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Minimum Recruitment Standard
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Public Health, Project Management, Business Administration or a recognized equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience with international development programs.
- Or MS/MA degree in public health, project management, business administration or a recognized equivalent with 2-3 years relevant experience with international development programs.
- Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
