We are recruiting:
Position: Programme Management Intern
Location: Abuja
Key Roles of the Programme Management Intern
Project Support
- Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring & evaluating programmes
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring they align with SIEDI’s goal & donor requirements.
Data Management
- Help collect, analyze & report data on project outcomes
- Ensure accurate documentation & record keeping for transparency & accountability
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with beneficiaries, partners & other stakeholders to gather feedback or facilitate project activities
- Support community outreach & mobilization efforts
Logistics and Operations
- Assist with organizing workshops, training sessions or events
- Help manage resources like, budgets, materials & equipments for smooth project execution
Reporting
- Prepare reports for donors, management or other stakeholders on project progress
- Contribute to writing success stories or case studies, highlighting the impact of SIEDI’s work.
Key Roles of the Finance/Admin Intern
Financial Support
- Assist in processing transactions like payment to vendors or staff reimbursement
- Help with budget tracking & financial report to keep project within budget
- Support the preparation of financial documents for audit or donor report
Administrative Tasks
- Manage office supplies ensuring the team has what they need
- Coordinate travel arrangements for staff or partners, like booking hotels or flights
- Help maintain data bases for contacts, donors or project records
Compliance and reporting
- Ensure SIEDI adheres to financial regulations and donor requirements
- Assist in preparing reports of financial performance for management or external stakeholders
- Office operations
- Provide administrative support to keep the office running smoothly.
Key Roles of the MEAL Intern
- Monitoring and Data Collection
- Support the design & implementation of data collection tools (surveys, mobile apps, etc) to track project indicators
- Ensure data is accurate, disaggregated (by gender, age, disability) and informs real time adjustments to programmes
- Evaluation support
- Assist in conducting evaluations (baseline, midline & endline) to measure the impact of projects like education initiatives
- Help to analyze results to answer questions like “what is working in our youth empowerment programmes”?
Accountability Mechanisms
- Facilitate feedback loops so beneficiaries can voice concerns or suggestions – critical in context.
- Ensure grievances are documented and addressed transparently, building trust between SIEDI and their targeted communities
- Learning and Knowledge Management
- Documents lessons learned and best practices to improve future projects
- Support the creation of case studies or reports that highlight impact for donors and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor degree in related fields
- Not necessarily one with prior experience. Passion to learn and deliver in desired role is crucial (experience in the NGO space is an added advantage).
- Be able to communicate efficiently in English (Hausa and sign language skills are added advantage)
- Conversant with Computer (Microsoft Office)
