Manager, African Trade Center Global (Finance), Real Estate & Administration at the African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank)

African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank) was established in Abuja, Nigeria in October, 1993 by African Governments, African private and institutional investors as well as non-African financial institutions and private investors for the purpose of financing, promoting and expanding intra-African and extra-African trade.

The Bank, headquartered in Cairo, the capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt, commenced operations on 30 September, 1994, following the signature of a Headquarters Agreement with the host Government in August, 1994. It has branch offices in Harare, Abuja and Abidjan and will open an East Africa branch office shortly.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Manager, African Trade Center Global (Finance), Real Estate & Administration

Location: Cairo, Egypt
Working time: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Manager, African Trade Center Global (Finance) is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, investment analysis, and financial operations for the African Trade Center (ATC) Global portfolio. 
  • The role ensures financial sustainability, risk management, and compliance with financial regulations while supporting trade facilitation and real estate investments. 
  • The incumbent will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions, investors, and regulatory bodies, to optimize ATC’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Budgeting:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Oversee financial modeling and analysis to support trade-related real estate investments and infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and international accounting standards.

Investment & Risk Management:

  • Identify and evaluate trade and real estate investment opportunities, structuring deals for profitability and sustainability.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, credit exposures, and market fluctuations.
  • Work with financial institutions to secure funding, loans, and capital for ATC expansion projects.

Financial Operations & Compliance:

  • Oversee financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and treasury functions.
  • Ensure adherence to banking regulations, tax policies, and financial governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline procurement, contract management, and payment processes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build relationships with banks, investors, trade finance institutions, and government agencies.
  • Lead negotiations for trade financing, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and infrastructure funding.
  • Represent ATC Global in financial forums, investment summits, and trade discussions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, trade finance, or real estate finance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, risk management, and capital markets.
  • Experience in PPP structuring, trade infrastructure financing, and international financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools, ERP systems, and investment platforms.
  • Fluency in English (French or other African languages is an advantage).
