About the Job

Job Title: Program Officer

Location: Lagos

Reports to: Senior Program Manager

Job Summary

The Program Officer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of HillCity Foundation’s youth-focused programs.

This role involves providing operational and administrative support across program cycles – from design to implementation and evaluation.

The ideal candidate will contribute to content development, training facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
This position requires strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to HillCity’s mission of discovering, developing, and deploying the potential of young people.

Key Responsibilities

Support program planning, logistics, and coordination across all program areas
Assist in organising events, training sessions, and mentorship activities

Maintain accurate program schedules, reports, and participant records

Design and deliver training content where required

Support the preparation of program reports, proposals, and presentations

Assist in monitoring and evaluation through data collection and analysis

Contribute to the development of communication materials and engagement strategies

Liaise with volunteers, mentors, and partners to support program delivery

Provide general administrative and field support to the Programs Team

Requirements

1 – 2 years of relevant work or volunteer experience in youth-focused or nonprofit programming

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis

Project management and organisational abilities

Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable
Familiarity with tools such as Google
Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and project management platforms

Passion for youth empowerment and alignment with HillCity Foundation’s mission
