JOB SUMMARY
CARE is seeking to engage a Project Coordinator who will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of project activities at the state level. This role ensures that key project milestones, including the recruitment, training, and empowerment of frontline health workers (FLHWs), are achieved. The coordinator will facilitate stakeholder engagement, oversee the digital learning platform\’s implementation, and support the formation of Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs).
CARE recently launched the She Heals the World Framework, which focuses on supporting and empowering frontline health workers (FLHW). With intentional collaboration between programmatic and advocacy teams, CARE is addressing the most pressing needs of training, equipping, managing and incentivizing FLHWs. This strategy aims to improve the working conditions and livelihoods of FLHWs, as well as increase the overall health of communities and reduce the burden on existing health systems, ensuring that people get the care they need from trained and trusted healthcare workers.
As part of this initiative, CARE Nigeria is implementing the Enhancing Resilience in Frontline Community Healthcare (EnRiCH) Project to support capacity building and professional development of 2000 FLHWs in Katsina State through a digital learning platform, as well as motivation through empowerment groups and village savings and loans associations (VSLAs).
