We provide interventions and initiatives, design, deploy and execute systems that aid to alleviate the human development challenges around Africa which is our primary catchment area.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Video Editor / Animator

Location: Remote

Job Summary

  • We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated Video Editor & Animatorwho need experience and are willing to volunteer their skill to join our Project.

Key Responsibilities
Video Editing:

  • Assemble raw footage into a polished final product, ensuring seamless transitions and consistent pacing.
  • Edit video and audio to enhance clarity, impact, and overall quality.
  • Add graphics, text overlays, and other visual elements to enhance video content.
  • Color correct and grade footage to achieve desired aesthetic.
  • Manage and organize video files and project assets.
  • Ensure videos adhere to brand guidelines and specifications.

Animation:

  • Create engaging 2D and/or 3D animations for various purposes, including explainer videos, social media content, and presentations.
  • Develop storyboards and animation concepts based on project requirements.
  • Design and animate characters, objects, and environments.
  • Apply motion graphics and visual effects to enhance animations.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure animations align with overall project goals.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, content, and design teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality content.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
  • Provide constructive feedback and incorporate feedback from team members.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Technical Skills:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Export videos in various formats for different platforms.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BSc), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in a relevant field such as Film Production, Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or related discipline.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve or similar.
  • Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, and motion graphics.
  • Knowledge of audio editing and mixing.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating video editing and animation skills.
